2019 Parapan Am Games

SAR Athletes: Josh Cinnamo, Sebastiana Lopez

Lima 2019 will take place between 23 August and 1 September and will feature a record 1,850 athletes competing in 17 sports, two more than Toronto 2015, making it the biggest Parapan American Games to date.

The Peruvian capital city was elected as host city following one round of voting at the 51st Pan Am Sports General Assembly in Toronto, Canada.

Four cities bid for the Games:

Lima, Peru – 31 votes

La Punta, Argentina – 9 votes

Santiago, Chile – 9 votes

Ciudad Bolivar, Venezuela – 8 votes

Cerberus Strength USA presents Invader Coffee USS Pro Women's Worlds 2019

Big Tex Gym Strongman is proud to announce that we are partnering with Rogue American Apparel to host Pro Women's Worlds 2019 at the Rogue American Compound on beautiful Lake Travis just outside Austin, TX! 

Stay tuned for more details about awesome sponsors, activities for spectators (live band, beer, food, etc...) and a sweet after party right on the lake just down the road from Rogue American.

Ticket proceeds from this event will be donated to Team Some Assembly Required, a 501(c)3 nonprofit supporting adaptive athletes.

Arnold Sports Festival

Some Assembly Required will be competing in 2 events over the weekend:

  • The Arnold Affiliate Gathering (Crossfit 6-man coed team & 4-man team)

    • CrossFit Endeavor hosts The Arnold Affiliate Gathering competitions at the Arnold Sports Festival, which will again be held in Hall D of the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

      6 Person Co-ed Competition: A unique competition style that was created by Validus Events in 2013.  Each team will be comprised of 3 females and 3 males. Teams will compete in 4-6 events back-to-back ‘Cannonball Run Style.’  Each event will involve a different number of athletes, different skills and lots of strategy. In 2019 we have extended this competition to a 3-day format beginning on Friday.  Top teams after Saturday's events will move on to the Finals Sunday!

      4 Person Same Sex Competition: Similar to the 6-person competition but comprised of teams of only FOUR athletes and all of the same gender. Watch these amazing men and women do every exercise we throw at them on Sunday from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

GORUCK with NCR-SQD

The National Capital Region Squad (NCR-SQD) is a group of people who live in Virginia, DC, and Maryland, love America, and respect those who have served in our nation’s armed forces. We do endurance events, such as the GORUCK Tough Challenge, to raise funds for veterans organizations that serve the needs of our service men, women, and their families.

To date, the NCR-SQD has raised more than $120,000 for these deserving organizations.

A ONE-day multiple workout competition at the Kansas City T-Bones Ballpark with a variety of skill levels ranging from Elite, Adaptive, RX and more. We have divisions for everyone and every skill level. Come test your fitness against some of the fittest people in the country!

100% of the proceeds go to support Warhorses for Veterans, a 501(c)(3) organization supporting and empowering combat veterans through horsemanship.

Texas Independence Relay 2018

Texas Independence Relay 2018

The Texas Independence Relay is composed of 40 relay legs of various lengths, totaling over 200 miles. The course starts in Gonzales, where the spark of the Texas Revolution took place, and it finishes at the San Jacinto Monument, where Texas Independence was won! This all takes place over Saturday and Sunday, March 24-25! Come and take it… if you have what it takes!
