Cinnamo, Lopez to Compete at the 2019 Parapan Am Games

Making their Parapan Am Games debut in 2019, Josh Cinnamo and Sebastiana Lopez, two of the very best in their respective classifications, will head to Lima in August seeking only one thing; gold.

Cinnamo, a member of Team USA since 2017 has the three longest throws in F46’s history at 15.98m, 15.92m and 15.84m. He will need every inch as he’s looking to fend off the 7’2” Canadian, Greg Stewart. The two squared off in Tempe, AZ earlier this year at the Desert Challenge Games. Cinnamo took the head to head match throwing 15.63m, but both seem to be hitting their strides heading into the meet in Lima. This will be a must-watch event and may dictate the favorite heading into the World Championships in Dubai.

Lopez, a newcomer to Paralympic sport has risen to the top quickly. She leads the world in the discus with a mark of 20.02m and will make her Team USA international debut in Lima. There will be stiff competition from Chilean, Francisca Mardones Sepulveda. Her best mark came in Grosseto, Italy with a mark 18.96m. Lopez trains at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. She is also a veteran of the United States Air Force and a multiple medal winner at the Warrior Games.
